Manchester City vs Chelsea: Analysis, stats, betting tips

Manchester City vs Chelsea

4th March, 2018 3pm GMT+1

Manchester City needs at most 5 wins to lift the Premier League and whether you and I like it or not, they are the EPL Champions Elect.

This game is gonna be a very tough one for Chelsea FC to win judging by the fact that the Citizens are at the top of the their game and coming from an impressive double win against Arsenal FC.

The Citizens won't be resting players for his game because of Champions League on Wednesday, they had a comfortable win against Basel but Chelsea might be considering resting their top players to go against Barcelona.

Man City vs Chelsea statistics

Manchester City

Man City have won 23 of their last 26 matches (Premier League).

Man City have scored at least 2 goals in their last 13 home matches (Premier League).

The Citizens have lost only one game this season (Liverpool 4-3)

Chelsea FC

Chelsea FC are currently 5th on the log and 5 points off finishing in 4th place.

Antonio Conte's side have now lost three of their last four in the league, suggesting the wheels are coming off at the wrong time for the Blues.  It's hard to imagine Chelsea stopping City here, even though they won 3-1 on their last trip to the Etihad.

Current form and momentum points in the direction of a home win.

Man Utd vs Chelsea match preview and prediction

Man Utd vs Chelsea preview and prediction Chelsea FC under Conte have won Man Utd three times and drawn twice with the Special Man and his boys only able to win just one game. Chelsea FC currently sit in 4th position 2 points adrift their opponents. Chelsea Striker issue? Chelsea have been faced with striker issues in past weeks before purchasing Olivier Giroud from Arsenal and letting Batshuayi go on loan to Dortmund. Alvaro Morata have not been able to find his form since the encounter against Manchester United earlier this season. Chelsea have started Eden Hazard as false 9 in their past 3 games in the Premier League, winning only one of those and losing two - Bournemouth and Watford, conceding 7 goals in the process. Conte have been finding it difficult to pick a starting Striker even against Barcelona, where he also played the Belgian, Hazard as false nine but was able to contain the Spanish Giants to a one-all draw. We believe he would be starting Olivier Giroud for...

What's still at stake for Africa's stars in the Premier League?

As the Premier League season draws to a close, KweséESPN run down what's at stake for African stars up and down the division. Victor Moses appears primed to become the first Nigerian since his compatriot John Obi Mikel in 2015 to win the Premier League title, with Chelsea four points clear of Tottenham Hotspur with four matches to play. It's not a done deal -- particularly considering Spurs' relentless form -- but despite a romping London derby victory over Arsenal last weekend, Tottenham are outsiders. Should Chelsea get over the line, Moses would become the third Nigerian to claim a Premier League winner's medal after the aforementioned Mikel and Super Eagles legend Nwankwo Kanu, who became the first player from the West African nation to clinch the title. For Spurs, Victor Wanyama was outstanding against the Gunners, thoroughly dominating the midfield, and will surely still harbour hopes of becoming the first Kenyan to win the EPL. In terms of continental qualificati...
